What are your Himalayas? Everest Base Camp, your first six-thousander, your dream trek, a specific peak, or perhaps a place in the high mountains you’ve been thinking about for years?
During this year’s The 31st Andrzej Zawada Mountain Festival in Lądek-Zdrój We invite you to take part in the Meroway Adventure competition „My Himalayas”.
You can win vouchers for trips with Meroway Adventure with a total value of 8,000 zł:
- 1st place – 5,000 PLN
- 2nd place – 2,000 zł
- 3rd place – 1,000 zł
What does the competition involve?
We want to find out about your true mountain dreams. We’re not looking for the best-written text or the most impressive mountaineering CV.
Do come and visit our stand at the Festival and answer one question:
„My Himalayas – what is your dream involving the Himalayas or high mountains, and why is it important to you?”
On arrival, you will receive a special „My Himalayas” card”. Simply write down your goal or dream on it and briefly explain why it matters to you.
You don’t need to have any experience in the Himalayas or on high peaks. Your dream might be to go on your first trek in Nepal, to see Everest, to reach an altitude of 5,000 metres, to climb a 6,000-metre peak, to undertake a specific expedition, or to achieve a completely different goal related to the Himalayas or high mountains.
How will we choose the winners?
This isn’t a popularity contest. The number of followers, likes or shares has no bearing whatsoever on the result.
Entries will be assessed by the Meroway Adventure Competition Committee. We will be focusing primarily on authenticity, the personal nature of the submission, the justification and originality, as well as its alignment with the „My Himalayas” concept.
We want to find three stories that will really stick in our minds.
When can you take part?
We look forward to seeing you at our stand Meroway Adventure at the Mountain Festival in Lądek-Zdrój from 3 to 5 September 2026, until 6.00 pm.
We will announce the winners on 6 September during the Festival and via our communication channels.
The vouchers can be used for Meroway Adventure trips taking place in 2027, in accordance with the detailed rules set out in the Competition Rules.
And by the way – Coffee with the Sherpas
During the Festival, we’d also like to invite you to take part in our special festival activity:
Coffee with the Sherpas – Two Sherpas. Your quarter of an hour. Your Himalayas.
This A 15-minute one-to-one meeting z Nima and Furden Sherpa over a cup of coffee from Nepal. You can come along with your Himalayan dream, your plans, your questions or even just a rough idea, and have a chat with people who know the Himalayas inside out.
Separate registration is required for „Coffee with the Sherpas” at our stand, and Places are limited. However, attending the meeting is not a prerequisite for entering the „My Himalayas” competition. We invite all adult visitors to our stand to take part in the competition.
