About the expedition

The Trip of a Lifetime: Kailash, Everest and Lhasa

Join us on an extraordinary journey that combines the mysticism of Tibet, the majesty of the Himalayas and the cultural richness of Nepal. It’s not just a trek – it’s a journey full of adventure and spiritual experiences across the Roof of the World: from the atmospheric streets of Kathmandu, through the sacred mountain Kailash and the lake Manasarovar, all the way to the northern base of Mount Everest and the spiritual heart of Tibet – Lhasa.

Even those first few days in Nepal were a deliberate preparation for the big expedition – a gradual acclimatisation combined with sightseeing Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Nagarkot, from where, weather permitting, you can admire the panoramic view of the Himalayas. This makes the itinerary safe, well-balanced and unique, and each stage takes the participants higher and higher – towards fulfilling their dream of a real adventure in the world’s highest mountains.

In Tibet, time passes differently. The sky seems closer; the silence speaks louder than words. It is a spiritual space, suspended between earth and sky, shrouded in mystery and sanctity for centuries. Here, every stone can be a prayer, and every mountain pass – a symbolic journey towards a deeper understanding of oneself.

This expedition is no ordinary journey.
It is a transformation – a spiritual and physical journey through one of the most mystical places on Earth.

„Roof of the World” is the most comprehensive and varied Tibet tour programme available on the market!

It combines the most important elements: acclimatisation with a start in the capital of Nepal, a safe ascent to high altitudes, and spectacular viewpoints – Kailash Kora, Manasarovar, Everest Base Camp, Lhasa – as well as unique experiences that you won’t find in standard packages.

What you’ll see and experience:

  • The sacred Mount Kailash – a three-day trek around a mountain regarded by millions of followers of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Bon as the centre of the universe. The Kailash Kora (max. 5,630 m above sea level) is one of the most mystical experiences in the Himalayas.
  • Lake Manasarovar – the legendary pilgrims’ lake, situated at an altitude of over 4,500 metres. It is a place for contemplation, walks and encountering the spiritual side of Tibet, a place of spiritual meditation and purification.
  • Everest Base Camp (from the Tibetan side) – the northern base camp of the world’s highest mountain, overlooking the majestic north face of Chomolungma. Spending the night at Rongbuk Monastery will allow you to experience the unique atmosphere of the Himalayas.
  • Lhasa – the spiritual capital of Tibet. You’ll visit the monumental The Potala Palace, Tibet’s most important temple Jokhang, as well as monasteries Sera i Drepung, where monks have been studying for centuries.
  • Shigatse and Gyantse – Tibetan towns brimming with tradition, monasteries and the everyday lives of their inhabitants.
  • Kathmandu and the surrounding area – Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, Bhaktapur, Nagarkot and the acclimatisation hills.
  • The option to travel along the legendary The Tibetan Railway.

Why should you choose a trip to the Roof of the World?

  • Authenticity and depth – This is not a typical tour, but a spiritual journey through the holiest sites of Tibet and Nepal.

  • Balance of body and mind – the breath of the Himalayas, trekking around Kailash, bathing in Lake Manasarovar, the tranquillity of the monasteries, the sound of prayer wheels.
