Nima Sherpa will be a guest at the 15th Mountain Film Festival in Wadowice
On 22–23 February 2025 Wadowice Cultural Centre invites you to the 15th Anniversary Mountain Film Festival. This a special event will connect mountain enthusiasts, films and adventures, offering film marathon, meetings with prominent figures the mountain world and a wide range of accompanying attractions.
Nima Sherpa among the distinguished special guests
Special guests at the 15th Mountain Film Festival:
- Krzysztof Wielicki – an outstanding mountaineer, which will share their experiences w the talk „Mountains and Friends”
- Nima Sherpa – Nepalese mountain guide i high-altitude climber, raised in the shadow of Mount Everest, which will tell us about his adventures i working in the Himalayas
- Sebastian Kawa – 18-time world champion w gliding competitions, the most successful glider pilot in history, which will share his experiences of the skies
- Piotr Pogon – social activist, conqueror of four peaks of the Seven Summits, who, as the first person in the world without a lung graduated twice IronMan competition, winner of the 2024 ‘Person Without Barriers’ Award
- Marcin Piętka – runner, alpine skier, GO PRO ENTHUSIAST, Finalist in the Vistula 1200 Cycle Ultra Marathon, which will share their experiences z extreme challenges
Event programme – the anniversary mountain film festival
During the festival the following will be presented specially selected, Award-winning and honourable mention films o mountain-related topics, including awarded at numerous festivals film Eliza Kubarska Fri. „Wanda Rutkiewicz. The Final Expedition”.
A new feature of the anniversary festival is short film competition o mountain-related topics. The anniversary prompts also to celebrations with music i singing together, so please join us at a concert by the band „Dom o zielonych progach”!
Nima Sherpa will talk about life in the shadow of the Himalayas
We are extremely proud, that Nima will be taking part in this event i will be able to share his story! Nima will share their own experiences and stories from the Himalayas, will talk about what life was like in Nepal when he was a child, about growing up and about this, What is life like in Nepal?.
A talk by Nima Sherpa will be a unique opportunity to to discover real life w the Mount Everest region i understanding, such as character is formed w under the harshest conditions on Earth. His stories o childhood in the Himalayas i On the path to becoming a mountain guide certainly will inspire everyone mountain lovers.
