The Exotic Kathmandu Valley and the Paradise Valley of Pokhara: An Unforgettable Adventure

Our an extraordinary journey We’ll start by exploring The Exotic Charms of the Kathmandu Valley, the royal capital of Nepal. Kathmandu is a place that captivates visitors with its rich cultural and historical heritage. During the tour, we’ll visit many unique sites, such as the Royal City Square – Durbar Square – where you’ll feel as though you’re in the heart of historic Nepal.
It is also worth visiting the largest Hindu temple in Nepal – Pasupatinath – as well as the beautiful Boudhanath sanctuary, home to the world’s most famous Buddhist stupa. All these sites are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Thamel: A Vibrant Neighbourhood

You simply cannot miss the bustling Thamel district, known for its wide range of restaurants serving local specialities, as well as its numerous little shops where you can buy souvenirs and put your bargaining skills to the test. We’ll also visit the Monkey Temple, which offers a breathtaking view of The Kathmandu Valley.

Pokhara’s Paradise Valley: An Oasis of Peace

Next, we’ll head to the idyllic Pokhara Valley, a charming town set against the backdrop of the Himalayas. Pokhara is the perfect place to relax and explore further. You’ll be enchanted by Devi’s Waterfall, the picturesque Lake Fewa, and the Bindabasani Temple. The panoramic view of the Himalayas from Sarangkot Hill will provide an additional treat. The Paradise Valley of Pokhara It offers a wealth of attractions that will make you feel as though you’re in a real paradise.

On our return to Kathmandu, we’ll set off on a short trek to Nagarkot, where you’ll be able to admire the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. We’ll also visit Bhaktapur, an ancient city that was once the capital of Nepal. Bhaktapur is renowned for its well-preserved architecture and rich history.

Detailed programme

  • Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu. Welcome to Nepal! Namaste!
    After arriving and checking in, you can relax or, if you’re up to it, visit Swayambhunath Temple – known as the Monkey Temple – on the very same day; it’s a 20-minute walk from Thamel. This site dates back to before the 5th century and is revered by the Nepalese. The hill offers a beautiful view of the city. In the evening, you can spend some time at a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
  • Day 2 – Exploring the Kathmandu Valley.
    You will visit Pashupatinath Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in Nepal, and the Bouddhanath sanctuary, the largest stupa in South Asia and a major centre of Tibetan Buddhism. You will then visit Durbar Square, the former royal seat dating back to the 12th century, with its unique buildings and the Kumari Bahal temple, where you can meet the living goddess.
  • Day 3 – The journey from Kathmandu to Pokhara.
    Early in the morning by coach (6–7 hours), with two stops for breakfast and lunch. On arrival, check-in and a walk around Lake Fewa.
  • Day 4 – Exploring the Pokhara Valley.
    Early morning departure for Sarangkot to watch the sunrise with a panoramic view of the Himalayas. Optional paragliding or zip-line ride. After breakfast, a tour of the town: Davi’s Waterfall, Gupteswor Cave, Bindabasani Temple, the Mountain Museum and a walk along the lake shore.
  • Day 5 – Return to Kathmandu.
    Bus journey (6–7 hours), with two stops for meals. On arrival, time to relax or explore Thamel, where you can buy souvenirs.
  • Day 6 – Sunrise in Nagarkot and a tour of Bhaktapur.
    An early departure for Nagarkot to admire the panoramic views of the Himalayas, followed by a tour of Bhaktapur, an ancient city with unique architecture and temples, and a chance to try the famous yoghurt.
  • Day 7 – Farewell and the journey home.
    If you wish, you can extend your stay or go on other excursions. The guide will take you to the airport three hours before your flight. Thank you for joining us on this trip, and we wish you a safe journey home.
