After your arrival and lodging, you can relax after your trip, or if you have the strength and desire – on the same day visit Swayambhunath Temple, the so-called Monkey Temple – located just a 20-minute walk from Thamel – the tourist district. You can spend the evening at one of the local restaurants. Overnight at the hotel.

This day after breakfast, you will first visit the Pashupatinath temple. This great Shiva temple consists of many complexes of separate buildings, monuments, and in many places you will meet Sadhu holy men with traditionally painted faces. We will then proceed to Bouddhanath Shrine, with the largest stupa in South Asia, which is the main center of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. We will then proceed to the city’s central square, Durbar Square. This is the former royal seat, built in the 12th century. Here you will see many unique buildings, including the Kumari Bahal temple (Home of the Living Goddess), where you may get an encounter with Kumari herself – the living incarnation of the goddess.
